We were recommended Barry's Moving & Storage by two provincial government worker friends who separately had the company move their offices and were more than a little impressed. Our move with Barry's was booked two months in advance for Sept. 1 - the busiest moving day of the year by all accounts. Most times we have just rented a U-Haul and gotten family and friends to help but physically we can't do that any more. Nonetheless, we were nervous about the crew showing up in time; whether they could handle nearly 100 pieces of delicate art work; distribute many heavy boxes to the right room in the new house to save us hefting them around. (They are not a syndicated national franchise which often comforts some - though horror stories about there.) The BIG thing that made the move super smooth is that Barry's uses three-man crews. You have no idea now that works for better and safer lifting and transport; elevator control as we were leaving a condo.( No "Two Men" with large brains, big hearts, etc.) Our team was flawless in their loading, transport and care; personally and professionally courteous; and the price (we chose hourly) was most satisfying - though no low cost is worth it if the job is not done well.) There are a lot of little details one doesn't think about and Ray the driver/move manager had it all covered; were even flexible when we had to change things. Hazel in the office gives a full accounting of what to expect and count on. Moving isn't fun but Barry's team made ours less painful.
