In Home Estimates - Phase 3

Good job BC! With the news of Victoria entering Phase 3, we are excited to start booking free in home estimates again. Of course with taking all the necessarily precautions.

However, If your move is smaller than a typical 3 bedroom, please feel free to use our Request an Estimate form on our website instead! When you do, please include as many details are possible (pretend your an Estimator). If you remember something later, and you already booked with us, call us and we will update your details. It can cause some extra stress when our crew arrives and there is a surprise piano or fish tank! We want to be as prepared as possible and bring the right tools and amount of employees.

We are still not offering packing services at this time. An update will be provided when this changes. Be packed and ready to go. If you are not packed our crew may leave and we will have to reschedule.

Summer 2020!

Summer is around the bend, and after a very unusual spring, Barry's is prepared for another summer of moving! Even though we have implemented some new policies, we still expect the summer to be our busy season.

With that said, book your move as soon as you can. Our busiest times are at the end of the month and on weekends, especially during the summer months!

Please note, due to the covid-19, we are not offering packing services. Please be packed and ready to go, or we may not be able to complete your move on your move day.

We are also not doing in home estimates for the time being. So, when you call or email, please be prepared to provide us with a detailed list of your items (all large items, and estimated amount of boxes) and detailed access information (how close can we get to the door, how many stairs, elevator times etc.).

A special thanks to all the front line workers, and everyone else in BC, for doing their part and flattening the curve, just in time for Summer! Stay diligent, stay safe, and keep doing your part and we hope all Victoria, Vancouver Island, and BC gets to enjoy the sun this summer.

UPDATE-WORKING THROUGH COVID-19

As Barry's continues to monitor the current pandemic, we have implemented new policies and procedures to do our part. We are open and booking jobs.

Updated safety measures you can expect from the Barry’s Moving & Storage team include:

· Ensuring staff are experiencing zero symptoms before each workday;

· Briefing staff on cleanliness measures to be taken before, during, and after each move;

· Making an effort to keep the same work crews together;

· Only scheduling our employees/ not using temporary labourers;

· Stocking our moving trucks with hand sanitizer, gloves, and masks;

· Working closely with customers to minimize the risk to those most vulnerable, including elders and the immunocompromised;

· Ensuring staff experiencing symptoms are supported in staying home and self-isolating;

· Offering quick and comprehensive quotes over the phone; and

· Emailing estimates, invoices, and electronic payments.

We want to thank our staff, customers, and our community for their ongoing efforts, and for their understanding.
