As a small-fleet company, we understand it's the little touches that count. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, our excellent customer services, and our focus on communication and transparency. We always suggest you hire professionals for your moving needs for both ease and safety.
Getting an estimate done will give you a better idea of your moving expenses and will give us a better idea of what kind of equipment we need to bring, how many crew members, and what kind of truck. Also, we can answer any questions you may have at the estimate appointment. You can also email us your move inquiry at our Request an Estimate page and we will calculate a quick quote for you and email or call you back with a rough idea of the expected costs. Of course, the more details you provide the more accurate the quote will be.

We know moving can be stressful, and that calling or emailing around for quotes if often the first step of many. Maybe you have never used movers before, or have not moved in years, and feel you don't have all the answers. That's fine! We understand the nature of the industry and we are more than happy to walk you through it; from beginning to end. We are here to answer any of your questions, just give us a call during office hours.

It is a good idea when getting a quote to not only note the hourly rate, but also the number of crew and the size of the truck.
We bill hourly for local moves or by flat-rate for longer moves; we do not bill by weight. Your bill for a local move will only be calculated based on actual time spent on the job, plus GST. Your bill for a move outside the Greater Victoria area will be based on a prearranged amount, plus GST.
Unlike other companies, We never charge an additional fee for stairs, like some other companies.
Our hourly rates vary by:
1. Size of Truck (we will use either a 1 Ton or a 5 Ton); and
2. Number of Employees (minimum 2) on the job.
We determine the above based on the information you provide us, or the information our estimator gathers at your Free In-Home Estimate. The more accurate the information you provide, the more accurate the quote will be. Please endeavour to mention all large items such as appliances (fridges, stoves, freezers, etc.) and pianos that will be included. The safety of our crew and your items is our top priority.
***Please note we have a minimum 2 hour charge on all jobs***
** 10% charge on moves that are booked on Stat Holidays**
*Overtime rates apply to all jobs over 8 hours per day*
All moving fees are included in our hourly rates.
Your bill will be YOUR RATE X HOURS + 5% GST = FINAL AMOUNT.
You will NEVER see surprise charges like a fuel surcharge or a stair surcharge show up on your bill.
For the safety of your belongings and our employees, if you have any large appliances and/or a piano, or if you are moving in or out of a property that has plenty of stairs or an apartment, we will require the use of a 3 or more crew team. That way one person can stay and pack your belongings in the truck and keep them safe, as well as ensure your heavier belongings are safely moved and that the packing is done properly.
The hourly rate increases for each additional person added to your move, but your move will end up taking less time since the crew will be more efficient and tire less quickly.
Average Local Move Times (with 2 Employees and a Truck):
Bachelor Suite = 2-3 hours
1 Bedroom Apartment = 3-4 hours
2 Bedroom Apartment = 4–5 hours
3 Bedroom House = 5–7 hours
Remember, these are average move times only! Call us or book a Free In-Home Estimate for the most accurate quote.
The billable time starts from our warehouse, and includes all loading and unloading locations, as well as the time it takes to get back to our warehouse in Esquimalt. If your move is within 15 minutes of our warehouse we usually waive this time.
On moving day, we will provide you with wardrobe boxes and picture/mirror boxes free of charge if needed. We can also help disassemble any furniture that you may need or want disassembled before we leave. If this is required, please let us know well in advance of your move so we can bring the right tools.
Once everything is loaded onto our moving truck, we will do a walk-through to ensure we didn't leave anything behind. Once at the new location we will place everything where you direct us to put it. If we packed for you, we can make arrangements ahead of time to unpack for you as well. Once everything is done, we will do a walk-through of your new home with you, making sure the heavier items are in their final position and ensuring everything is accounted for.

What is the travel time between the move-out and move-in locations?
How close can we get the truck to the front door at each location?
Do we need to purchase a parking permit?
Is there an elevator? Do we need to book it?
How many, if any, large items are there?
How many stairs are there?
At what time do you get possession of your new home?
Are there any low laying power lines?
Any other safety issues?
